Contact usReverse Positive Pay is a Fraud Mitigation Option for Low Check Volume Accounts and Clients
Fraud poses a significant risk to businesses of all sizes today. To mitigate potential losses from scammers, it is crucial for clients to have effective tools in place to combat payment fraud. While you may be familiar with Positive Pay – our established fraud prevention tool that allows you to monitor checks presented for payment against your account and reject unauthorized transactions – Reverse Positive Pay offers another level of control for businesses that issue fewer checks.
Key features:
-
Business Controlled Check Verification
Unlike traditional Positive Pay which matches checks against a business provided list, in Reverse Positive Pay, a list of all presented checks is provided to the client for review. -
Daily Check Review
Clients log into the Positive Pay system each day to review a list of checks presented for payment. The client must approve or reject each item before the cutoff time. If the deadline is missed, the checks will be automatically returned. -
Fraud Prevention
Businesses can detect unauthorized or altered checks and return them. -
Online Access
Access provided through Commercial Center to review Positive Pay exception items and check images, allowing for quick and easy pay or return decisions.
Added benefits:
-
Simplified Experience
For companies that only write a few checks, Reverse Positive Pay can give added security without the requirement of submitting an issued check file to the bank. -
Flexibility
Allows clients to handle check exceptions on a case-by-case basis and minimizes the risk of incorrect payments. -
Reduced Potential Losses Due to Check Fraud
Positive Pay helps deter fraud by providing our clients with the opportunity to return checks.
